MegaRobo Launches AI Protein Design Competition
MegaRobo Technologies announced Poreva Open in a press release, a global competition that will test more than 10,000 AI generated protein designs. Submissions will receive standardized, double blind experimental evaluation at the company's Megalaxy Lab.
The competition includes five challenges covering measures such as binding affinity, thermal stability, cross species reactivity, pH selectivity, nonspecific binding and cellular function. The first three challenges focus on EGFR, TNF alpha and GLP-1R, while two more will be announced in a second round.
Registration and submissions for the first three challenges run from October 19 to November 18. Validation is due by March 2027, with results and experimental data scheduled for publication in April 2027, subject to intellectual property and compliance requirements. Poreva Open offers $250,000 in cash prizes and $150,000 in wet lab validation credits.
