Menlo Digital Breaks Ground on 48MW Data Center in Herndon, Virginia
Menlo Digital, the data center platform of Menlo Equities, has begun construction on its MD-DC1 facility in Herndon, Virginia, announced in a press release. The two-story building will provide 48 megawatts (MW) of critical IT capacity across 307,000 square feet.
The site spans nine acres and will include four data halls of 12MW each, supported by 67MW of utility power from Dominion Energy Virginia’s Lincoln Park Substation. Clune Construction is serving as the general contractor. Delivery of the powered shell is scheduled for summer 2026.
The Herndon project forms part of Menlo Digital’s national pipeline exceeding 1.8 gigawatts, which includes developments in Northern Virginia, Phoenix, Silicon Valley, Dallas, and Chicago.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
