Microsoft releases MAI Image 2.7 in preview, according to a company blog post. The image editing model ranks third on Arena Edit and second on the Artificial Analysis image editing leaderboard.
MAI Image 2.7 can restyle or relight scenes, change text and symbols, move objects into new settings, and restore existing images. Microsoft says it improved on MAI Image 2.6 across all 10 use cases and seven editing actions evaluated by Artificial Analysis.
The model is available through Arena, Artificial Analysis and MAI Playground. Microsoft is initially offering editing capabilities, with image generation from text planned later.
