Mistral AI Acquires New Material and Forms Solutions Design Team

Mistral AI has acquired design studio New Material and will create a Solutions Design team focused on customer deployments.

Mistral AI has acquired New Material, the design studio announced on its website. The October 14 announcement did not disclose financial terms.

New Material's team will establish a group called Solutions Design within Mistral AI. The team will work across design, engineering and AI to develop solutions with customers and connect deployment feedback to Mistral AI's products. New Material previously built AI tools for the automotive, retail, legal and healthcare sectors, working with organizations including Ford, Rafael Nadal and Wellcome Trust.
