Mistral AI Raises €3 Billion at €21 Billion Valuation
Mistral AI raised €3 billion in a Series D round at a post money valuation of more than €21 billion, the company announced in a press release. Mistral described the deal as the largest equity fundraising round completed by a European technology company.
Samsung Electronics led the round, while the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, and existing investor PSG Equity served as co leads. New investors included Advent, funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Mistral will use the funding for AI research, computing capacity, infrastructure, commercial expansion, and growth in international markets. The company operates in 20 countries and serves more than 125 enterprises, including Airbus, ASML, and HSBC.
