Mistral Opens Munich Hub for Industrial AI

Mistral AI announced on its website that it is opening a hub in Munich focused on industrial AI and physical simulations. The location will house research teams and engineers who will support corporate customers with specific AI applications.

Mistral will work with BMW on AI models for crash simulations and with Siemens Energy on industrial AI applications. The company is recruiting researchers, engineers and applied AI specialists in the Munich region, but did not disclose the planned workforce or investment.

A research partnership with the Technical University of Munich will develop digital twins for vehicle aerodynamics. The project will combine wind tunnel sensor data with computational fluid dynamics simulations to produce aerodynamic predictions in real time.
