MongoDB Launches Atlas Agent Engine for AI Agents

Sep 29, 2026
Atlas Agent Engine combines execution, persistent memory, retrieval, security, governance and cost controls for deploying AI agents. The platform is now available in public preview.

MongoDB, Inc. launched Atlas Agent Engine at its Investor Day in New York City on September 29, 2026, as the company announced in a press release. The platform combines agent execution, persistent memory, retrieval, security, governance and cost controls in one layer.

Atlas Agent Engine supports MongoDB Voyage AI embedding and reranking models, MongoDB native retrieval and open standards including MCP and A2A. Customers can use its runtime, memory and governance components separately, while retaining their choice of models, cloud providers and frameworks.

The platform includes identity based action logging, policy controls, guardrails, audit tools and cost management. It can run in public cloud and self managed environments or on a laptop. Atlas Agent Runtime and Atlas Agent Memory use consumption based pricing through existing Atlas commitments, and the platform is now available in public preview.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
