Monzo EU Chief Leaves to Start AI and Robotics Company
Monzo EU chief Michael Carney is leaving to start a company that will use AI and robotics to support people with disabilities, according to Finextra. He will remain in his role while Monzo searches for a successor.
Carney joined Monzo in September 2024 after seven years at payments company Stripe, where he became European technology CEO.
At Monzo, Carney led a 100 person team responsible for the bank's launch in Ireland and preparatory work in Spain.
