Moonshot AI Targets $2 Billion in Annualized Revenue
Moonshot AI is targeting $2 billion in annualized revenue by the end of 2026, twice its reported August run rate, according to TechCrunch. The target follows the release of its open weight Kimi K3 model this summer.
OpenRouter data shows K3 models currently generate as many as 300 billion tokens per day on its platform, although usage has declined slightly in recent months. Moonshot makes the model weights freely available and sells access to related services.
Anthropic recently accused Moonshot of collecting more than 23 million responses from Anthropic models for training. Anthropic alleged that nearly 300,000 Kimi requests were routed directly to Claude Opus.
