Motorola Solutions Acquires AI Video Analytics Company DeepNeuronic

Motorola Solutions acquired Portuguese AI video analytics company DeepNeuronic and plans to integrate its technology into the Avigilon video security platform.

Motorola Solutions acquired Portuguese AI video analytics developer DeepNeuronic, according to a press release from Young America Capital. The company purchased all of DeepNeuronic's share capital, including its Brazilian subsidiary, for undisclosed terms.

DeepNeuronic develops software that analyzes live camera feeds and flags incidents as they occur. Highway operators, airports, manufacturers and retailers use its technology in Portugal and Brazil.

Motorola Solutions plans to integrate the software into its Avigilon video security platform, which serves customers in more than 100 countries. DeepNeuronic's 17 employees will join Motorola Solutions and remain in Covilhã, Portugal.
