Mount Sinai Opens AI Research Lab for Cardiac Catheterization
Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital has announced the opening of the Samuel Fineman Cardiac Catheterization Artificial Intelligence Research Lab. This new facility aims to leverage artificial intelligence to advance interventional cardiology and improve patient care and outcomes.
Dr. Annapoorna Kini, who leads the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Mount Sinai, will direct the new AI research lab. The lab will focus on integrating AI technologies to support decision-making in complex heart procedures, enhance patient engagement, and optimize treatment strategies.
The lab's research will cover various aspects of interventional cardiology, including procedural and educational applications. By collaborating internally and externally, the lab aims to uncover insights from existing data that could significantly impact healthcare delivery.
The lab is named in memory of Samuel Fineman, whose generous donation helped establish the facility. The inaugural AI Symposium will be hosted by Dr. Kini and her team at The Mount Sinai Hospital, marking the beginning of this innovative venture.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
