NanoCo Raises $12 Million Seed Round After Declining $20 Million Buyout
NanoCo, the company behind the open source AI agent NanoClaw, has raised $12 million in an oversubscribed seed round after rejecting a $20 million acquisition offer, reports TechCrunch.
The funding was led by Valley Capital Partners with participation from Docker, Vercel, Monday.com, and several angel investors including Clem Delangue, CEO of Hugging Face. The round closed within days following NanoClaw’s viral success.
NanoClaw was created by brothers Gavriel and Lazer Cohen as a secure alternative to OpenClaw. The software runs inside a container for enhanced security and has gained rapid adoption among technical users and executives at major technology companies. After endorsements from AI researcher Andrej Karpathy and Singapore’s foreign minister, the project’s popularity surged.
NanoCo has begun working with enterprise clients to deploy NanoClaw across organizations. The company offers implementation and support services to help businesses set up AI agents for employees. It plans to expand its team to meet growing demand.
