Novaclad Launches iPhone Kitchen Measurement App

Novaclad announced in a press release a free iOS app that lets homeowners measure a kitchen, price a countertop and send the project to a local fabricator in about five minutes. The app is the first consumer product built on the company's AI and LiDAR measurement engine.

The engine captures a room in three dimensions using an iPhone LiDAR sensor. It then creates a takeoff suitable for fabrication and an itemized price based on the fabricator's own price book.

The service launches in St. Louis with Rock Creek Granite as its founding fabricator. Novaclad's co-founders bought that Missouri stone shop in 2022. It supports countertops initially, and Novaclad plans to add other fabricated finishes. The app requires an iPhone 12 Pro or newer Pro model running iOS 17 or later.
