Nscale Plans AI Data Center in Finland with Fortum Support
Global AI infrastructure company Nscale plans to establish a new data center in Harjavalta, Finland. The facility is set to be located in the Sievari industrial area, owned by the Town of Harjavalta. The project is supported by Fortum, which will serve as the site development partner.
Fortum signed a site securing and development agreement with Nscale to continue groundwork initiated in 2024. The collaboration includes assistance with zoning, grid connection design, and permitting. Nscale and the Town of Harjavalta have also started the process toward a preliminary land sale for the site.
The total power capacity of the facility will be determined during the design and permitting stages. Both companies stated that the project aligns with efforts to expand low-carbon and high-density infrastructure in the Nordic region. The Town of Harjavalta expects the data center to bring new employment opportunities and economic growth during both construction and operation phases.

Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
