Nvidia to Manufacture AI Chips in the U.S.
Nvidia has announced plans to manufacture AI chips in the United States, marking a significant shift in its production strategy. In a company blog post, Nvidia detailed its initiative to commission over a million square feet of manufacturing space in Arizona and Texas. The production of Nvidia Blackwell chips has already begun at TSMC's facilities in Phoenix, Arizona.
The company is also constructing supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas, collaborating with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. Mass production at these sites is expected to ramp up within the next 12 to 15 months. Nvidia aims to produce up to half a trillion dollars of AI infrastructure in the U.S. over the next four years.
Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, emphasized that this move will help meet the growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthen the supply chain, and enhance resiliency. The initiative is expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs and drive significant economic activity in the coming decades.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
