NX Group and Japan Airlines Start 747 Cargo Route for AI Equipment

NX Group and Japan Airlines have started a weekly Boeing 747 freighter service connecting Los Angeles with major Asian cargo hubs. The route targets demand for servers, semiconductor equipment and other heavy cargo.

NX Group and Japan Airlines announced in a press release that they have launched a Boeing 747 freighter service for AI and semiconductor cargo between North America and Asia. The first flight departed Los Angeles on October 3, 2026.

The weekly circuit runs from Los Angeles to Narita, Taipei, Singapore and back through Narita before returning to Los Angeles. Cargo can be loaded and unloaded at each stop, supporting shipments between the United States and Asia as well as routes within Asia.

The 747F has a maximum payload of about 100 tons. The service can carry oversized and heavy items, including server racks and data center equipment. It will operate once a week during 2026, with both companies considering further expansion.
