Ohio State and Google Partner on AI Research Hub
Ohio State University and Google detailed a partnership to create an AI research space in the university's Innovation District, in a press release. The initiative will connect university researchers with Google Cloud engineers, Google DeepMind research and AI computing resources.
Researchers will receive access to more than 200 AI models and tools including AlphaFold, Google Earth Engine and AlphaEvolve. Ohio State will also receive access to Google research agents through Gemini Enterprise. Project SCARLET will use predictive models, computer vision and analytics to support training, recovery and health programs across the university's 36 sports.
Select students, faculty and staff will receive access to Google Workspace for Education, Gemini Enterprise and Gemini Notebook. The partnership also includes a student research ambassador program and a virtual assistant for academic advising, registrar services and career planning.
