Ondas' Optimus Drone Added to DCMA Blue UAS Cleared List
Ondas Holdings Inc. announced that its subsidiary, American Robotics, has received Blue List approval from the Defense Contract Management Agency for the Optimus drone, according to a press release. The listing confirms the drone meets Department of War standards for cybersecurity, supply-chain integrity, and operational reliability.
The Optimus drone is now included in the Department of War’s directory of approved, secure, and NDAA-compliant unmanned aircraft systems, allowing for accelerated acquisition by defense and government agencies. The system features a drone-in-a-box dock supporting continuous 24/7 operations, with 11 onboard batteries and up to nine mission payloads.
The automated dock uses a mechanical arm to exchange payloads between flights, enabling the system to shift mission profiles autonomously. This Blue List status positions Optimus for expanded deployment across defense and critical infrastructure applications requiring secure and compliant autonomous aerial systems.
