Open Medicine Introduces Living Algorithms for Oncology Decision Support
Open Medicine announced in a press release the launch of its new platform, Living Algorithms, aimed at improving oncology decision-making. The platform allows clinicians to access and share interactive treatment algorithms that are continuously updated and authored by leading physicians.
The release took place ahead of the ASCO Annual Meeting and addresses the challenge of translating rapidly evolving clinical data into practical cancer treatment decisions. Traditional oncology treatment algorithms are often static diagrams, while Living Algorithms present dynamic, mobile-friendly tools that can be updated in real time as new evidence emerges.
According to the company, the platform enables clinicians and trainees to learn directly from experts across oncology subspecialties. It provides access to evolving treatment pathways and expert clinical reasoning, helping users understand how to apply new data in clinical practice.
