OpenAI Offers US University Labs Free GPT-Rosalind Access
OpenAI is offering eligible US university biology labs sponsored access to GPT-Rosalind through its Rosalind Academic Plan, according to Crypto Briefing. Principal investigators and lab leaders can receive up to 30 Business Standard seats for 12 months.
The seats include GPT-Rosalind and other advanced OpenAI models. Research data from participating accounts will not be used to train OpenAI models by default. Labs must receive organizational approval, and access is limited to eligible scientific research.
GPT-Rosalind can analyze biological entities, summarize scientific literature, plan experiments and connect with scientific databases. OpenAI initially released the model through a research preview on April 16, 2026.
