OpenAI Releases ChatGPT Images 2.5 With Faster Generation and New Editing Tools
OpenAI announces in a company blog post the release of ChatGPT Images 2.5, an image model with sharper details, more precise editing, and better consistency across repeated edits. The company says generation latency is up to 50% lower than with Images 2.0.
ChatGPT now includes Sketch, which lets users draw a visual reference for an image. Other additions include templates for formats such as posters and merchandise, comments placed directly on images, and an option to share prompts with generated images.
Images 2.5 is rolling out across all ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex tiers on desktop, mobile, and web. Developers can access GPT-Image-2.5 Flare for faster generation and GPT-Image-2.5 Sunburst for detailed image creation and editing through the API.
