Overmind Open Sources Platform for Specialized AI Models
Overmind announced in a press release the open source release of its platform for building, training and deploying specialized small language models. The software lets organizations create models using their own data and code.
The platform covers data preparation, training, evaluation, fine tuning and deployment in one workflow. Teams can test models against business tasks, review agent activity and use evaluation results to retrain or redeploy models.
Overmind was founded in 2025 by Tyler Edwards, a former British intelligence official, and Sam Brunt, who previously worked at Funding Circle, Pipe and Vertice. The company says its platform is already being used by organizations in financial technology, legal services, health care and cybersecurity.
