Overtake partners with World to integrate World ID, enhancing security in its Sui blockchain-based P2P marketplace for game assets.

Overtake has announced a partnership with World to integrate World ID, a proof-of-human technology, into its marketplace login process. Announced in a press release, this integration aims to enhance trust and safety in Overtake's escrow-based peer-to-peer trading platform.

World ID will be gradually applied to seller onboarding and high-value or high-frequency transactions, complementing Overtake's existing 2-of-3 multisig escrow system. This move is expected to mitigate fraud and Sybil attacks while maintaining a user-friendly onboarding experience.

Overtake, a Sui blockchain-based marketplace, facilitates secure and low-fee transactions of game items and currencies. The integration of World ID aligns with Overtake's strategy to convert Web2 gamer demand into on-chain activity, enhancing marketplace credibility and potentially leading to mass user adoption.
