PayNearMe launches AI agent for servicing and collections

Oct 1, 2026
PayNearMe has launched an AI agent that handles payment servicing and collections through calls, texts and web interactions. The agent is available now to PayNearMe clients.

PayNearMe announced in a press release the launch of an AI Servicing and Collections Agent within its PayXM platform. The agent makes outbound calls, sends texts, answers inbound calls and helps customers make or schedule payments.

The agent uses PayXM payment data, business rules and workflows to authenticate customers and determine the next action. It can provide account information, record promises to pay, manage opt outs, send payment links and transfer customers to support staff while preserving context across channels as that capability rolls out in phases.

In a pilot with Indiana Finance Company, the agent placed as many calls in one hour as about 28 support staff members. During one outbound campaign, 90 percent of targeted accounts received a voicemail or payment link, completed a live conversation or were transferred to support staff. The agent is available now to PayNearMe clients.
