Permission.ai Launches Browser-Based AI That Pays Users for Their Data

Permission.ai has launched Permission Agent, a browser-based personal AI that allows users to control and earn from their own data, issuing rewards in the form of ASK tokens.

Permission.ai has launched Permission Agent, a browser-based personal AI that enables individuals to control and profit from their own data, announced in a press release. The tool is now live and available for download on Permission.ai.

Permission Agent acts as a personal digital assistant that performs web-based tasks on behalf of the user while monetizing approved data contributions. Each time a user consents to share data, they receive ASK tokens, which are liquid and tradeable. The AI provides an auditable consent trail, allowing users to see when and how their data is used.

All shared data is recorded immutably, establishing ownership and ensuring that individuals, rather than platforms, benefit from the value generated. The company describes this model as a move toward what it calls the “Gold Standard of Data” — human-verified, consented, and auditable information that can be trusted by enterprises and regulators alike.

The launch comes amid growing regulatory scrutiny over data use and aims to offer users a way to maintain control and transparency while earning compensation for their digital activity.
