Philips and NVIDIA Collaborate on AI Model for MR Imaging
Philips has announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to develop a foundational AI model for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), announced in a press release. This partnership aims to leverage NVIDIA's advanced AI computing platform to improve MR image quality, accelerate scan times, and enhance diagnostic workflows.
The foundational model will utilize a large deep learning neural network trained on extensive datasets. It is designed to enable zero-click planning of scans across various anatomies, potentially speeding up workflows and increasing throughput. The model will also offer interactive image enhancement capabilities, such as denoising and super-resolution, allowing for more precise diagnoses.
Philips plans to integrate this solution seamlessly into existing MR workflows, building on NVIDIA's VISTA-3D and MAISI technologies. These advancements are expected to transform the role of MR in diagnosing and treating a wide range of diseases, providing significant benefits for both patients and healthcare providers.
