Potts Law Firm Seeks Consolidation of Grok Lawsuits
Potts Law Firm asked the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to consolidate federal lawsuits alleging that xAI's Grok generated sexually explicit images depicting minors, according to a press release from the firm.
The motion seeks to transfer the cases to one federal district court for coordinated pretrial proceedings. The firm said the cases involve overlapping questions about Grok's design, safeguards, warnings and oversight.
The panel will decide whether the cases qualify for multidistrict litigation and, if so, where the coordinated proceedings will take place. The matter is titled In Re: Artificial Intelligence Minor Sexual Exploitation Litigation, Case No. 1:26-P-49.
