Promethean Adds Local AI Companion to Explain Everything

Promethean has added an AI Companion to Explain Everything that creates lesson plans, quizzes, translations, audio narrations and other teaching materials directly on compatible Apple devices.

Mynd.ai subsidiary Promethean launched an AI Companion for its Explain Everything app, the company said in a press release. The feature uses Apple Intelligence to turn selected text, images or drawings into lesson plans, quizzes, vocabulary lists, activities and other teaching materials.

Generated content appears within the Explain Everything canvas, where teachers can edit and add it to lessons. The tool can also create audio narrations, translate text and generate accessibility descriptions.

AI Companion processes content on the device, works without an internet connection and does not send data off the device. It is available at no extra cost to Explain Everything Advanced and Pro users on compatible devices running iPadOS 27 or iOS 27 and later with Apple Intelligence enabled.
