Qatar University and Scale AI Plan Academic Advising Platform
Qatar University, the Qatar Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Scale AI signed an agreement to develop the National Co Advisor Platform, according to Gulf Times. The platform will combine an interactive AI assistant for students with analytical and administrative tools for academic advisors.
Students will have continuous access to guidance on program requirements, university rules, course prerequisites, registration eligibility, deadlines, and progress toward graduation. The platform will also help advisors prepare for meetings, record outcomes, track actions, and identify students who may need additional support.
The system will connect with relevant university databases and provide advisors with prioritized alerts and suggested interventions based on academic data. Qatar University said human staff will retain oversight of administrative processes and decisions.
