Qualcomm Unveils Two Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Smartphone Chips
Qualcomm Technologies unveiled in a company announcement the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 mobile platforms. Both chips use a 2 nm process and support on device AI, mobile gaming, imaging, and connectivity features.
The Extreme model adds Adreno Neural Fusion for AI assisted graphics, Advanced Professional Video support, and Intelligent Pixel Control for photo and video processing. The standard model includes a Qualcomm Oryon CPU, a redesigned Adreno GPU, and a Hexagon neural processing unit.
Smartphones using the two platforms will come from Honor, iQOO, Motorola, OnePlus, Oppo, Redmi, RedMagic, Vivo, and Xiaomi.
