Raytheon Completes First Flight Test of RAIVEN Staring Sensing System
Raytheon, an RTX business, has completed the first flight test of its RAIVEN Staring sensing system on a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, announced in a press release.
The air-cooled sensor suite, part of the RAIVEN electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) product family, demonstrated 270-degree situational awareness and successfully mapped urban areas, marshes, and coastlines under zero illumination conditions. The system integrates three sensors and is designed to enhance operator visibility and survivability across air, ground, and sea platforms.
RAIVEN Staring features an open systems architecture that allows for integration and upgrades. It can support up to a 360-degree field of view, improving detection, recognition, and identification speed in degraded visual environments. The sensors are produced in McKinney, Texas, with additional flight tests scheduled throughout 2026.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
