Raytron Unveils Thermal Imaging Module for Autonomous Vehicles
Raytron has introduced a significant advancement in night driving safety with the launch of its Horus 640-B automotive thermal imaging module, announced in a press release. This infrared sensing technology, showcased at the Asia Photonics Exhibition 2025, enables vehicles to detect hazards up to 300 meters away in complete darkness, offering drivers more reaction time at highway speeds.
The Horus 640-B module is designed to enhance advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) by providing high-definition thermal imaging in low-visibility conditions. It features real-time detection capabilities powered by AI, ensuring reliable performance even in extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain or snow.
Raytron's thermal imaging solutions have already been integrated into next-generation ADAS platforms by major Chinese automakers like BYD, Geely, and Shaanxi Automobile. This underscores the industry's confidence in Raytron's technology, which is setting new standards for vehicle safety and autonomous driving technologies.
