Reflect Scientific Secures Patent for Cryogenic Data Center Cooling
Reflect Scientific has secured a U.S. Patent for its innovative cryogenic cooling system, as announced in a press release. This system is designed to address the increasing heat management challenges in data centers and server farms, driven by the rise of artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
The patented "Room Portable Blast Chiller" utilizes liquid nitrogen to quickly cool overheated IT environments, providing a fast-response and energy-efficient solution. This system is particularly useful during power surges, peak usage times, or brownout conditions that threaten sensitive computing hardware.
Key features of the system include a compact, portable design that can reduce room temperatures in minutes without requiring an external electrical connection. Additionally, a patented heat exchanger design ensures rapid cooling without flow restrictions, and a wall-mountable version is available for permanent server room installations.
Reflect Scientific's cryogenic cooling technology aims to keep high-performance systems running safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and energy use.
