Restate raises $20 million for durable workflow infrastructure

Sep 30, 2026
Restate raised a $20 million Series A to expand its infrastructure for workflows that must recover from crashes and network interruptions.

Restate raised a $20 million Series A led by Singular, according to TechCrunch. Redpoint Ventures and Capital One Ventures also participated.

The Berlin based startup provides an execution engine that helps multi step workflows recover from crashes and network interruptions. Its software records workflow activity so AI agent processes can resume after a failure and produce consistent results.

Restate built its own storage, replication and redundancy layers rather than using an external database. The company plans to hire engineers and sales staff, and expand its San Francisco Bay Area office.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
