Rockefeller Foundation Commits $10 Million to IRC for AI-Powered Humanitarian Innovation

The Rockefeller Foundation has announced a $10 million multi-year commitment to support the International Rescue Committee's Airbel Impact Lab, focusing on AI-driven solutions for communities affected by conflict and crisis.

The Rockefeller Foundation has committed $10 million to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) to support innovation for people living in conflict and crisis, announced in a press release.

The multi-year funding will back the IRC’s Airbel Impact Lab, which develops and scales cost-effective, AI-powered solutions for communities underserved by existing systems. The initiative is part of the Rockefeller Foundation’s Build the Shared Future Initiative.

According to the announcement, the collaboration aims to develop new humanitarian and development models by mobilizing public and private financing. These models are designed for countries where poverty and humanitarian needs are concentrated, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected states.
