Saab Completes Sea Trials of Large Uncrewed Underwater Vehicle
Saab said in a press release that it developed, built and tested a Large Uncrewed Underwater Vehicle demonstrator with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Swedish Armed Forces. The organizations completed the project phase and sea trials less than one year after the contract award.
The demonstrator uses Saab's Autonomous Ocean Core control system for autonomous surface and underwater operations. Saab says Swedish expertise in submarine design and sensor integration helped take the project from concept to sea trials. The demonstrator is meant to operate alongside existing naval platforms, including submarines.
The next phase will focus on more advanced capabilities, including software, sensors and autonomous functions. FMV leads the project, which will inform Swedish authorities as they consider the acquisition and operational use of autonomous underwater systems.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
