Safe Pro Appoints Young J. Bang to Lead AI Integration for U.S. Military
Safe Pro Group has appointed Young J. Bang, former Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army, as Chairman of its newly formed Strategic Advisory Board, announced in a press release. Bang will lead the integration of Safe Pro's AI-powered Small Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) technology into U.S. military systems.
Bang, an expert in AI and defense systems modernization, will guide the adoption of SPOTD technology, which uses AI to identify threats like landmines and unexploded ordnance in real-time. This technology has been tested in conflict zones such as Ukraine, offering rapid threat detection through drone imagery.
As Chair, Bang will also drive Safe Pro's AI market strategy, fostering partnerships with military contractors and agencies to expand the use of SPOTD. The technology integrates with military communication systems, providing real-time threat alerts to enhance battlefield safety and operational efficiency.
