About 50 Samsung Affiliate Presidents Meet Sam Altman on AI
About 50 presidents from Samsung affiliates met OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in Yongin, South Korea, to discuss AI technology and business opportunities, according to Chosun Biz. Executives from Samsung businesses spanning electronics, finance and biotechnology attended the October 31 session.
The group examined how AI could affect corporate decision making and operations, along with the skills executives will need. Before the meeting, the presidents received practical training on using generative AI to organize management data into individual knowledge repositories.
Samsung Electronics signed a letter of intent with OpenAI in October last year to build global AI infrastructure and supply memory chips for the Stargate project, while Samsung SDS, Samsung C&T and Samsung Heavy Industries agreed to work on AI data centers, enterprise AI services and offshore floating data centers. Since a first round of training for presidents in June, Samsung has been training about 2,300 executives and plans to complete AI training for all employees by February next year.

Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
