Santander and NVIDIA Build AI Model Evaluation Tools for Banking
Santander is working with NVIDIA to evaluate AI models and agents for banking tasks, according to PYMNTS. The Santander AI lab has created Model Arena, which tests open weight models against banking workloads and helps select a model for each task.
The bank is also using NVIDIA NeMo Customizer to specialize smaller models for specific banking functions. In an experimental customer service use case, Santander said a more efficient model improved conversation quality while reducing costs by more than 50 percent.
The companies will continue working on foundation models, AI agents, fraud detection, anti money laundering systems, real time decision making and digital twins for banking.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
