Sapient Perception Raises €2M for AI Sensor Systems for UAVs

Sapient Perception has raised €2 million in a pre-seed round co-led by Balnord and FORWARD.one, announced in a press release. The Danish company develops physical AI sensor systems for UAVs and will use the funds to accelerate its software-defined camera and AI framework designed for mission-critical operations.

The company's 10K sensors are capable of covering up to 100 times larger areas than conventional imaging systems while maintaining detailed resolution in a single frame. Its onboard edge processing pipeline allows real-time analysis and decision-making directly on the UAV, reducing reliance on external data links.

Sapient Perception is partnering with Dropla Tech to integrate its sensors into drones supporting the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. These UAVs are used to detect ambush drones and landmines along supply routes near the front lines. Additional deployments are planned for high-altitude and stratospheric platforms across Europe and North America.

The funding will also support team expansion and early customer deployments in defense, security, and emergency response sectors.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
