SiMa.ai and Cisco Collaborate on Edge AI for Industry 4.0
SiMa.ai has announced a collaboration with Cisco Systems, Inc. to integrate its Modalix AI platform with Cisco's industrial Ethernet switches, according to a press release. This partnership aims to enhance edge AI capabilities for Industry 4.0 applications by delivering real-time AI processing at the industrial edge.
The integration of SiMa.ai's energy-efficient Modalix AI platform with Cisco's IE3500 series switches allows for the deployment of powerful edge AI solutions across various sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, and industrial automation. The collaboration addresses the need for low-latency, high-performance AI at the edge, providing the necessary privacy, reliability, and security for mission-critical applications.
Key benefits of this solution include real-time AI processing, industrial-grade reliability, and simplified deployment. Cisco's IE3500 switches, designed for harsh industrial environments, offer a robust networking foundation to support AI workloads. Additionally, the integration simplifies deployment by reducing the need for separate power supplies through power over ethernet capabilities.
The combined offering is now available for evaluation, with go-to-market initiatives including technical webinars and proof-of-concept programs to assist customers in deploying edge AI solutions effectively.
