SIQA Launches Registry for AI Music Provenance

SIQA launched a registry and iOS app that identify the origin of music and indicate how AI was involved in its creation.

SIQA launched the SIQA Verified Registry and an iOS app for identifying AI involvement in music, the company announced in a press release.

The registry lets artists register their work and records whether a track was fully generated by AI, assisted by AI, or created through a combination of human and AI input. The SIQA Verified app uses audio fingerprinting to identify songs and display their classification. The three way framework is SIQA's own, and SIQA is also the company offering the verification against it, so it is a proposed standard rather than an agreed one.

SIQA will also hold its first AI Music Awards in Los Angeles on November 13, 2026. A related summit with panel discussions is scheduled for November 12.
