Sokin Launches MCP Connector for AI Payment Workflows

Sep 14, 2026
Sokin has launched an MCP connector that lets finance teams access payment data and prepare transactions through AI assistants while retaining human approval before execution.

UK headquartered payments company Sokin announced in a press release a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that links its licensed payment infrastructure with AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. Finance teams can retrieve wallet balances, foreign exchange quotes, transaction activity and payment status updates within an AI conversation.

Authorized users can also search and check beneficiaries, prepare currency exchanges and payment instructions, and obtain account details for funding a wallet. Each instruction is shown to the customer for confirmation. Existing Sokin approval rules still apply before settlement, and payments continue to require human confirmation before they are executed.

Sokin said that in testing the connector handled 10 multi currency invoices and treasury transfers in under 10 minutes. The company supports transfers to more than 170 countries in over 70 currencies.
