S&P Global Introduces AI-Ready Metadata on Marketplace
S&P Global has launched AI-ready metadata on the S&P Global Marketplace, enhancing data accessibility for AI and analytics applications, announced in a press release. This new offering aims to transform data consumption by providing machine-readable metadata that supports both human and AI users.
The AI-ready metadata includes datasets covering economic, fundamental, cross-reference, OTC derivatives, loan pricing, and insurance data, among others. Designed to be vendor-neutral, it supports traditional, agentic, and AI-centric tools, facilitating seamless integration across diverse use cases.
Available under a complimentary license, the metadata enhances machine readability at the column level and is currently accessible via Snowflake, with plans for additional distribution channels. This initiative marks a significant step in meeting the growing demand for rich, contextual data in the AI-first era.
