Speakeasy and Tailscale Add Private Networking for Enterprise MCP
Speakeasy announced a partnership with Tailscale that lets companies run the Speakeasy Model Context Protocol gateway on their own Tailscale network, according to a press release. The integration allows organizations to close the gateway's public route while attaching Tailscale user and device identity to every request.
Speakeasy applies MCP governance and access policies to agent traffic carried over the private network. The integration also works with Speakeasy MCP tunnels, allowing agents to reach private MCP servers through outbound only connections without exposing those servers to the public internet.
The service uses the Tailscale Kubernetes operator to place each organization's gateway on its network. Administrators authorize Speakeasy through a scoped Tailscale OAuth client, while separate credentials, nodes and workloads isolate each organization. Private network access is available now for Enterprise customers of the Speakeasy AI Control Plane and is rolling out to individual organizations.
