Stand Introduces Physics-Based AI Model for Catastrophe Simulation
Stand announced in a press release the launch of the Stand World Model, described as the first physics-native frontier model for the built environment. The model simulates how fire, wind, water, and seismic forces interact with individual structures at sub-meter resolution, calculating the physical outcome of catastrophic events on a structure-by-structure basis.
The system combines first-principles physics, including computational fluid dynamics and structural thermal response, with AI-accelerated inference to enable event simulation at large scale. It can model multiple hazards such as wildfire, hurricane, flood, and earthquake to determine how specific conditions affect building survivability.
According to Stand, the Stand World Model achieved 84 percent accuracy in predicting structure survival outcomes during validation against the January 2025 Palisades, Eaton, and Thompson fires, compared to 46 percent for a leading traditional insurance model. The company is applying the model to insurance operations, offering homeowners premium reductions of up to 60 percent for implementing mitigation actions identified by the simulations.
Stand operates in catastrophe-exposed regions and underwrites policies through Concert Specialty Insurance Company in California and Stand Insurance Exchange in Florida, supported by reinsurers including Arch, RenaissanceRe, Hannover, Nephila, and Hiscox.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
