Stand8 Launches AI Assisted Candidate Verification Platform

Stand8 announced in a press release a candidate verification platform that combines AI assistance with human review. The platform checks candidate identities before, during and after interviews to detect remote hiring fraud and impersonation.

Before an interview, the system verifies a government identity document, performs a liveness check and compares location and device signals with application data. During interviews, recruiters compare candidates with verified identities and screen for proxy interviews or impersonation, while AI flags anomalies.

The platform repeats verification during onboarding and at intervals based on risk. It also stores background screening and qualification checks in an auditable record, with additional controls for roles involving sensitive access.

Stand8 says the system does not make automated hiring decisions. Candidates receive notice and provide consent before identity or biometric verification.
