Stonepeak Launches Montera Infrastructure for Hyperscale Data Centers
Stonepeak has announced the launch of Montera Infrastructure, a new company dedicated to developing and operating hyperscale data centers across North America, announced in a press release. Montera is backed by a $1.5 billion equity commitment from Stonepeak.
Montera aims to support the rapid growth of cloud computing and AI workloads by constructing and operating data centers with capacities exceeding 100 megawatts. The company will focus on strategically located sites in Tier I and Tier II metro areas with access to near-term power.
The leadership team at Montera is headed by Founder and CEO Eanna Murphy, who brings experience from previous roles at Yondr and Google. The team also includes CTO Craig Pennington and Chief Delivery Officer Joe Walsh, both formerly of Oracle and Equinix. Together, they bring over a century of experience in data center operations and strategy.
This initiative marks Stonepeak's fourth data center investment in North America and its eighth globally, expanding its portfolio that includes Cologix, CoreSite, Digital Edge, and Cirion.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
