Supermicro is shipping NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 racks integrated with its Data Center Building Block Solutions and DLC-2 direct liquid cooling stack, the company stated in a press release.

Each rack contains 72 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs and 36 NVIDIA Vera CPUs. It provides 20.7 TB of HBM4 memory and up to 54 TB of LPDDR5X memory.

The cooling stack includes cold plates, manifolds, hose kits, cooling distribution units, rear door heat exchangers and facility cooling towers. Supermicro's deployment blueprint supports facilities from 5 MW to gigawatt scale. One Scalable Unit includes 16 compute racks with 1,152 GPUs and 331 TB of HBM4 memory.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
