Teledyne LeCroy Releases PCIe 7.0 Protocol Exerciser
Teledyne LeCroy announced in a press release the Summit Z74 Protocol Exerciser for PCI Express 7.0 on September 17, 2026. The company describes it as the first standalone PCIe 7.0 protocol exerciser.
The Summit Z74 generates controlled protocol traffic independently. It can also pair with the Summit M616 Protocol Analyzer to provide traffic generation, protocol capture, decoding, analysis, validation and debugging.
PCIe 7.0 provides a raw data rate of 128.0 GT/s, twice that of PCIe 6.0, with up to 512 GB/s of bidirectional bandwidth in an x16 configuration. The exerciser supports testing for link training, transaction issues, protocol errors, LTSSM transitions, interoperability, PAM4 signaling and FLIT based protocols.
